Philips launches healthcare innovations to enable equitable care in line with Egypt Vision 2030

This year, Philips’ showcase at Africa Health ExCon is centered on high-powered, fast, and mobile healthcare innovations enhanced by next-generation technology. Philips will also be spotlighting innovative partnership models that ensure that health systems remain current with the latest advancements for peak performance throughout their lifecycle. 

Increased control and efficiency with automated workflows

Philips is unveiling its Image Guided Therapy Mobile C-arm System 9000 – Zenition 90 Motorized [4], designed to help surgeons deliver high-quality care to more patients. The new mobile C-arm with expanded capabilities is designed to meet complex vascular needs and a range of clinical procedures such as cardiac interventions, pain management and urology.

 

Motorized and impressively fast, the Zenition 90 Motorized is an intuitive C-arm that allows the surgeon to control it from the table-side with user-friendly controls and time-saving features – empowering the surgeon with greater flexibility and independence. It delivers state-of-the-art image quality for the most challenging procedures and is designed to meet complex vascular needs. The system allows greater clinical efficiency thanks to its automated workflows, the image controls via the Touch Screen Module and the advanced software solutions.

Portability and versatility without compromise

Philips is also launching its next-generation compact portable ultrasound solution, the Compact 5000 Series [6]. This new ultrasound is designed for portability and versatility without compromising image quality or performance and aims to bring the diagnostic quality associated with premium cart-based ultrasound systems to more patients.

 

Designed for shared service capabilities across specialties including cardiovascular, obstetrics and gynaecology, point of care, and general imaging, the Compact 5000 Series system helps meet the needs of multiple clinical segments. It can further be configured with an optional battery allowing for 2.5 hours of scanning time and faster power-up capability to quickly ready the system at the patient’s side – enabling clinicians to focus on the patient and see more patients.

 

The new Compact 5000 Series, replicates the intuitive user interface and workflow of Philips’ cart-based systems EPIQ Elite and Affiniti, to offer full compatibility with these systems’ transducers, and supports an easy learning curve for users.

 

In addition to the Compact Ultrasound 5000 series, Philips’ full range of ultrasound systems that meet the needs of multiple clinical segments are on display - designed for shared service capabilities across specialties including cardiovascular, obstetrics and gynecology, point of care, and general imaging. 

Realizing lifetime value with technology optimization

This year, Philips experts are present at Africa Health ExCon to showcase upgrades and trade-in services that help stakeholders to stay at the forefront of new hardware and software developments and get the most out of technology. Whether this calls for a managed services, expert consultancy, education, financing solutions through Philips Capital or other types of partnerships - the Philips team is present to help healthcare providers in the region make confident investment decisions for today and the future.

 

Other solutions spotlighted at Africa Health ExCon include the industry’s first fully-sealed 1.5T (Tesla) magnet to be introduced in a commercially available MRI scanner, the MR 5300, designed for sustainable imaging without image quality or clinical compromises. The Image Guided Therapy System – Azurion that allows to perform a wide range of routine and complex interventional procedures easily and confidently while optimizing lab performance for superior patient care. The Philips CT 3500, powered by AI to include a range of image-reconstruction and workflow-enhancing features that help to deliver the consistency, speed, and first-time-right image quality needed for confident diagnoses by clinicians and increased return on investment – even in the most demanding, high-volume care settings. The Ultrasound - EPIQ Elite that features an exceptional level of clinical performance, workflow and advanced intelligence – with clinically tailored tools designed to elevate diagnostic confidence to new levels. And also on display is Philips’ Visual Patient Avatar; a revolutionary new monitoring solution that translates complex patient data into a straightforward, easy-to-understand visual display.
