237E4LHAB LCD monitor, LED backlight

The monitor is a nice size. It is reliable and good value for money. The controls are handily located below the screen on the right hand side. Picture quality is good with an excellent refresh rate. It has sound capability and both HDMI and SVGA signal input. The black surround frames the picture screen.

Its a splendid replacement for my previous monitor which cost 2.5 times as much ten years ago. I f this one serves me as well I'll be well satisfied. My only niggle is that the controls along the bottom right-hand edge don't seem to readily visible. I would have no hesitation about recommending it to others or even by another for another location.

The monitor controls are fiddly but once you have the screen set to how you like it then you don't need to touch them again. The picture is superb and having upgraded to this monitor from a very old one the game i am currently playing 'Elder Scrolls Online' looks fantastic. I have separate speakers so am not bothered about the sound from the monitor.

Personally would prefer a squarer screen for computer work.

This monitor has a great picture quality and response and is easy to set up but the touch buttons for selecting viewing mode, volume... etc are not back lit and literally impossible to see! If I had designed this I would have made the touch buttons light up without responding to a first touch so that the following selection could be made as the botton functions could now be seen. Then maybe a 5 second timeout before the light is turned off so as not to interfere with viewing. The SmartControl software is cool for manipulating how work areas can be arranged. A couple of clicks and you can have a window in the top right of one monitor and another in the left of the other etc. Very handy.

Overall excellent product but their are some features which are poor like the soft touch controls, luckily these don't need to be used very often (can be accessed from the desktop shortcut which removes the need to use) but can be difficult to control the options. As to the sound this is not very good unless you are just looking for the annunciation notifications from your pc etc. One other point is the separate power supply! ok but adds to the mess of cables to hide!

The monitor performs well visually and seems to have no drawbacks. The sound quality is quite useless and has all the sound characteristic of a tin can. So bad that I can see no reason for building in such an inadequate audio systen into the monitor

The screen itself has a very nice quality picture, pretty pleased with that. The touch buttons to control the brightness of the screen are quite terrible. The buttons are unreadable without having a phone with a flashlight shining on it and it doesn't register 5 out of 10 touches. I'd recommend to look for a screen that's similar quality-wise but has a better solution for the screen controls.

Generally very satisfactory when one ignores the almost impossible touch controls to make adjustments.
